I love these.

My Mom's Maple Nut Creams
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or marg
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 tsp maple flavoring
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1 cup chopped walnuts
Cream sugar, butter, egg, sour cream and maple flavoring.
Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in walnuts.
Spoon by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 375* for 10-12 minutes.
I've been using parchment paper on my cookie sheets and then they don't need to be washed. ;)
Frosting
Mix:
2 Tbsp sour cream
1 Tbs maple flavoring
2 cups powdered sugar
1-2 Tbs milk to thin a bit.
I make it runny enough so I can just dip the cookies in and not spread on with a knife. They get that nice smooth surface that way. Place on wire racks to dry frosting. Store without stacking as it messes up the frosting.
